Ever thought how good it would be if you could help your kids learn whilst they were having fun? They wouldn’t even notice the knowledge going in!
Well, you can do exactly that this Halloween by dressing them up in a Skeleton Fancy Dress costume.
Ok, so maybe their costume isn’t exactly anatomically correct, but hey, the whole purpose of Halloween is to have fun, right? Taking the opportunity to add a little learning into the mix is just a bonus and your kids will remember what you tell them far more easily if it involves laughter, a fun time and candy.
The trick is to simply pick out the main bones on the costume – the arms, legs, ribs etc., and work in their real names. Maybe you could work out a little rhyme or make a few word associations to help your youngsters remember better.
Without the pressure of ‘real’ learning, your young children will be able to have a great Halloween and gain a little extra knowledge along the way. – and that can’t be a bad thing, can it?
